Sherbourne Mistletoe has been prized and sold at the annual Mistletoe Fair for over a hundred years; but could this year possibly be the last? With her father’s sudden death and debts mounting up, it looks as though Freya’s only hope for the future is to sell her beloved family home. And to make matters worse, the only contenders to buy Appleyard Farm, are the people she’d least like to sell it to – the dreaded Henderson brothers who seem always to make life so difficult.

It’s magical stuff, though, mistletoe and the arrival of the mysterious Amos Fry brings a glimmer of hope that just maybe Freya can fall in love with Christmas all over again.

As the snow begins to fall, cosy up and find your sparkle this Christmas with another big-hearted, and wonderfully warm read from the author ofLetting in Light.

A very pleasant Christmas Novella! It was a delight to read 'Merry Mistletoe', written by Emma Davies.

It is the story of Freya, who is shaken up by the father's unexpected death and is clueless about how to tackle her debts. She is planning to sell her family home along with the Appleyard Farm but, the only interested buyers are the Henderson brothers; Stephen- who is swanking about, living a luxurious life and Sam, who loves Farming and works hard to earn his bread and butter. Amos, a stranger who turned up at Freya's door out of nowhere is her helping hand now, he is helping her with the Mistletoe harvest and marketing. What else is he capable of?...

Freya is just that ordinary woman, we meet in our daily lives. She is encumbered with debts, grieving for father's sudden death, desperately in need of an assistant with the works, and having a not-so-romantic relationship with the boyfriend. Despite all these troubles, Freya musters up a smile to cover up everything and tries to be normal around everybody. I wished her to be happy and felt that she undoubtedly deserved a 'Miracle'. I always enjoy the miracle at Christmas time stories, it perks me up and boost my level of belief in Christmas Miracles as I am eagerly waiting for one to happen in my life. I truly believe that Miracles are bound to happen at Christmas season. Thus, this novella made me happier when Freya's happiness and love were magically returned to her with the help of a mysterious stranger's meddling at the right time. I liked that concept, it also reminded me of my favorite festive season movie 'It's a Wonderful Life'.

'Merry Mistletoe' is one of those make-you-feel-good novellas with likable characters, believable storyline and the wonderful descriptions on the commotion in Mistletoe market  and a snowy Christmas eve. You can almost experience it. This novella will remind you that Christmas is all about giving and the good still exists in the world. 'Merry Mistletoe' is a wonderful Christmas story that guarantees to put you in the Christmas spirit. I enjoyed reading it, an absorbing story with some brilliant twists and turns and a heartwarming end, that will leave you with a smile on your face. Recommended!
